I operate from a belief that people need more than coping skills, though those are important. They need space to slow down and examine who they are - permission to get curious and be uncertain. Therapy is a relationship where they can risk honesty and vulnerability without being managed, judged, or hurried. Ultimately, my hope is that the vulnerability they practice here will translate to every corner of their lives. "The act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major vehicle of therapeutic help" - Irvin Yalom.
I am interested in how our experiences shape the way we move through the world and how we make meaning. When our sense of self becomes steady, we gain an internal north star. Ultimately, I value helping people experience themselves more fully because, paradoxically, the more secure we are in who we are, the more open we are to growth and complexity.
This work is not just my job; it is where I place my attention and a great deal of my heart because it matters. I care about the part of people that wants to understand themselves more honestly, even if it feels scary and vulnerable. I'm ready when you are!
